HUGH LAURIE | MAYBE BABY

A comedy with a slightly sad twist, Hugh is brilliant as Sam Bell, a screenwriter who's trying desperately to conceive a baby with his wife, Lucy. I really liked the movie and there were some great scenes between Hugh and Joely. But I hated the ending. It was a very cheesy and felt unfinished. There was this huge build-up throughout the movie and they sort of left it hanging. I really loved how touching the movie managed to be in certain parts, especially with Lucy and what she goes through. I also found it totally funny to have seen Hugh as House, then go back and watch this because the 2 characters couldn't be more different. It's always weird for me to see Hugh clean shaven and happy.

CLIPS:

» Deep penetration
size: 9MB
length: 50sec
summary: One of the best known clips from this movie, this opening scene of the movie has Sam rushing home to have sex with Lucy in the middle of the day because she's ovulating. They really go at it. Awesome!

» Sweet scene at the wedding
size: 28MB
length: 2min36sec
summary: Sam and Lucy have sex outside a church and Sam tells her how lucky he is to have her. We also see Hugh playing piano when Lucy tries to get Sam to write his thoughts down in a journal.

» All dressed up
size: 22MB
length: 2min34sec
summary: As part of a fertility ritual, Lucy insists they dress up in gown and tux and go off to have sex in the park. Probably one of the corniest love songs I've ever heard in my life played here. I almost felt uncomfortable watching it!

» Breath a little life into it
size: 18MB
length: 1min47sec
summary: Sam comes running home - again- in the middle of the day in order to have sex with Lucy when she's ovulating. He's obviously getting tired of being a stud horse. He's so rushed he's having trouble getting it up. So Lucy offers to 'breath a little life' into him... hint, hint.

» "Abuse myself."
size: 27MB
length: 2min50sec
summary: Widely known as "the sperm song," Sam sings and plays piano with his dog and laments about having to masterbate into a cup for his sperm test the next day.

» Sluggish
size: 16MB
length: 1min32sec
summary: Sam gets the results of his sperm test and is a bit demasculinized until he realizes that the results are totally normal.

» The focus group
size: 10MB
length: 57sec
summary: Sam has to deal with a focus group... of 5-year-old kids... for a show he's working on. Hilarious. I wish something like this would happen to House... I couldn't imagine how he'd react!

» Sam plays guitar
size: 9MB
length: 1min
summary: Just a quick shot of Sam playing guitar for a second while talking to Lucy.

» Hot kiss
size: 12MB
length: 1min16sec
summary: This was my second favorite scene in the whole movie because of how hot it was. Sam reads Lucy's private diary and finds out she almost cheated on him with an actor. When he sees her, he walks over their bed and grabs her and kisses her fiercly, almost branding her. Awwweesome.

» Dick and Debbie
size: 12MB
length: 1min23sec
summary: After in vitro, Lucy is impregnated with 2 embryos which she names Dick and Debbie. This is my absolute favorite scene because it's so wonderful between them. We really see how much Sam loves Lucy. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was kind of picturing House and Cameron but... you know, I'm insane so... ; ).

» The break-up
size: 50MB
length: 4min50sec
summary: Lucy loses the babies and is completely devastated. She goes to talk to Sam at the set and finds out that he's been using their tragedy as a script for his movie. She's heartbroken that he'd do this and she leaves him.

» In the park
size: 33MB
length: 3min13sec
summary: Long after they've split up, Sam is miserable and he sees Lucy again. He asks her to meet him in the park at their old spot so they can talk. He finds out that she may be pregnant with another man's baby (the actor she was seeing) but he doesn't care. He wants her back and will do anything to make it up to her.

» The end
size: 19MB
length: 1min53sec
summary: We find out Lucy isn't pregnant, thankfully, and she and Sam get back together. The end suggests that they kept trying to have a baby and finally succeeded.
